Reportedly, only 7,038 GTO’s were manufactured for 1974, with only 1,723 being a Hatchback, and only 1,036 optioned with an Automatic Transmission, and less than 30% percent of those came in Regatta Blue Paint. (PHS Services) Seller states that this car still sports its original sheet metal, panels and pans, and has had 1 repaint over 15 years ago. It has been garage kept and driven sparingly to shows and cruise-ins. PHS documents the authenticity and show that it was sold new at Rooster Bush Pontiac-GMC, in Shelby NC, and has remained a Carolina car since. Seller also says that it runs, drives and performs amazingly, and that it is in the process of having the A/C system upgraded with an OEM compressor and other parts. This rare little GTO would be a welcome addition to anyone’s collection! This one definitely deserves a 2nd look.
